Paradis Extra is elaborated from several hundred prestigious eaux-de-vie aged from 25 to 130 years and descending from the four grands crus of the Cognac region. La Grande Champagne and la Petite Champagne make up the essential part of this blend. Some of these eaux-de-vie have been preserved in the Founder’s Cellar and the oldest of them date back to 1870. These precious eaux-de-vie are aged exclusively in Limousin oak barrels, which have already given up their most distinctive tannins. Their incomparable finesse, identified at their birth, requires that the barrels in which the eaux-de-vie reach their plenitude match the delicacy of their personality. Admired and heralded by the world’s great connoisseurs, the quality of Paradis Extra is one of the best-kept secrets of the House of Hennessy.
