    Herzog Basin Napa Cabernet KOSHER

    $75.94

    Size 750ML

Secluded at the northern edge of Napa Valley, at an elevation of 1,100 feet, rests Basin Vineyard. Here, river rock creates ideal drainage across the sloped vineyard rows. At this height, warm days and cool afternoon breezes allow the grapes to ripen to a perfect balance of sugars and acidity. This Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a deep ruby colour and a nose of black plum and boysenberry. In the mouth, bursts of mocha and cinnamon compliment structured and balanced tannins, finished in anise and oak. Learn More
  2. 2011 Drouhin Gevery Chambertin

    2011 Drouhin Gevery Chambertin

    $75.94

    Size 750ML

Category: Red Wine Varietal: Pinot Noir Region: France » Burgundy » Cote de Nuits Producer: Joseph Drouhin Joseph Drouhin Gevrey-Chambertin is a wine with a beautiful, bright ruby colour. Intensely fruity on the nose, the aromas are reminiscent of black cherry, wild blackberry and liquorice. The woody character is subtle and marries delicately with the other aromas. As the wine evolves, there are more complex notes, such as mild spice, nutmeg and leather. Later still, mushroom and damp earth nuances make their appearance. Although present on the palate, tannin is never astringent but blends itself harmoniously with the natural freshness and "gras" (velvety texture) of the wine. The same aromas encountered earlier on the nose are found again in the aftertaste. Learn More

  4. 2012 Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon

    2012 Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon

    $76.94

    Size 750ML

The Wine Advocate 91 points: The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is a big, rich wine bursting with dark fruit. This is a fairly immediate style, some serious tannins notwithstanding. Smoke, tobacco and licorice develop in the glass, adding complexity and nuance. The powerful, fruit-driven finish is totally rewarding, but this will be even better in a few years’ time. Learn More
  5. 2009 Alain Hudelot-noellat Chambolle Musigny

    2009 Alain Hudelot-noellat Chambolle Musigny

    $79.94

    Size 750ML

he 2009 Chambolle-Musigny flows with layers of perfumed fruit. The fine tannins balance the fruit quite nicely and add grip to the long, delicate finish. This appears to be an early-drinking wine that will deliver considerable pleasure over the next few years. The Chambolle was bottled in February 2010. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2019. I tasted the following wines with Charles Van Canneyt, Alain Hudelot's grandson. Van Canneyt showedme a few 2008s before moving into the 2009s. The estate did some chaptalization in 2008. Based on the selection of wines I tasted, that may have robbed some of the 2008s of their vintage character. Vintage 2009 seems to have played more to the estate's strengths. The estate used 50% new oak forthe Grand Crus and 30% for the 1ers. Learn More
