Nuits-Saint-Georges is the southernmost commune of the Côte de Nuits, with primarily limestone and marl soils. The grapes are handpicked and sorted, then undergo fermentation. After a long maceration, a proportion of the wine is set to age in French oak barrels. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration. This is a hearty red wine with substantial tannins, a distinct earthy note, and long finish with spice and dried fruit nuances.
